Tenth Ward Offers a Day of Pop-Up Weddings this Fall

Amanda Boroughs, Marketing & Events Manager, Tenth Ward Distilling Company

This.  All of this.

I have been so excited to share this idea with all of you for weeks. And it’s finally here. Tenth Ward is offering a Pop-Up Wedding Day on Saturday, September 5, 2020. Hear me out…

What is a Pop-Up Wedding?

Have you ever heard of a pop-up wedding before? Until a few weeks ago I hadn’t. Since I’m responsible for managing all of our private events, especially weddings, I’ve been doing a lot of research lately about how the wedding industry is changing due to COVID-19 and how I can evolve and better cater to my wedding clients. Pop-Up Weddings aren’t a new idea, but they’ve gained popularity now that big lavish weddings are having to be put on hold or even cancelled due to the current pandemic.

A pop-up wedding is more than an elopement, but less stressful and much less expensive than a traditional wedding. And since many couples have had to cancel their big 2020 wedding plans we’ve decided to offer an alternative option that is safe, fun and easy.

Pop-Up Wedding Day at Tenth Ward

September 5, 2020 we are going to have five time slots for five lucky couples and their 18 closest friends and family to enjoy a cocktail hour, brief ceremony, and reception here at Tenth Ward. Each wedding will include all of the important bells and whistles in one package, already coordinated without all the fuss.

The Bells & Whistles

We’ve thought of everything so you don’t have to. Seriously, we did. Photographer, check. Flowers, check. Desserts, officiant, music? Check check check. We’ve worked with each vendor we’ve selected and can vouch for their talent, dedication, care, and professionalism. Each all-inclusive package includes:

  • 2 hour time block in Tenth Ward’s Whiskey Hall for a ceremony and reception.
  • Private access to our Barrel Room for up to 30 minutes before your event for a cocktail hour.
  • Private bar in the Whiskey Hall.
  • Bright fall-inspired floral decorations + your own petite bouquets and boutonnieres to take home by Sweet Blossoms.
  • Dessert table with assorted cookies and cupcakes by Two Sweet.
  • Professional photography + 15 images by A+M Photography.
  • Music/DJ + choose your own song for your first dance by Shew-sical Entertainment.
  • Non-denominational officiant, Norm Ross.
  • Complimentary Day-of Coordinator (me!)

Elevate Your Experience

Our all-inclusive package has everything you need for the perfect pop-up wedding. But if you want to elevate your experience, we have a handful of options to customize and upgrade your special day, such as Tenth Ward exclusive beauty packages from the amazing JKW Beauty, and more!

Could this be too good to be true?

Did you have to completely cancel your 2020 wedding and have no idea where to begin planning a new one? Are you too excited to wait to get married? Did you have to postpone your big wedding but still want to celebrate this year somehow? Do you hate [planning, spending money, big weddings, attention, etc]?

Then this could be the perfect option for you and your partner. Let us handle the logistics. Just get dressed, grab your partner and your closest friends and family, and simply show up. We’ll handle the rest. And we’ll take good care of you.

On a personal note, my and my fiance’s May 2020 wedding had to be postponed due to the pandemic. So I’m feeling all the same feelings you are if you’re in the same boat. And if I wasn’t going to be coordinating the day’s events on September 5th, I’d be signing up for a timeslot right now and get married here myself!

Please reach out with any questions! I so look forward to working with you.

XO Amanda
