Ten Years of Tenth Ward: A Decade Distilled

This year, Tenth Ward turns 10—and honestly, we’re still wrapping our heads around that. What began as a scrappy idea fueled by curiosity, late nights, and a deep love of spirits has grown into a decade-long journey of distilling, learning, rebuilding, celebrating, and doing things our own way.

Over the past ten years, we’ve weathered industry growing pains, global curveballs, shifting regulations, and the constant challenge of making spirits that feel both thoughtful and fun. We’ve expanded our portfolio, experimented boldly, and stayed committed to small-batch production rooted in quality and transparency. Every bottle that leaves our doors represents not just what we make, but who we are—a philosophy that’s been at the core of Tenth Ward from the very beginning.

If there’s one thing that has made the last ten years possible, it’s our club members. Your continued support—showing up, tasting with us, giving feedback, spreading the word, and believing in what we’re building—has been the backbone of Tenth Ward. You’ve supported us through experimentation phases, limited releases, construction dust, and all the moments in between. Quite simply: we wouldn’t be here without our club members.

Anniversary Releases, Saved for This Moment

In honor of our 10-year anniversary, we’re releasing a curated lineup of past-year spirits that showcase the range, creativity, and evolution of Tenth Ward. These are bottles we intentionally held back to celebrate with our members—spirits that mark where we’ve been and where we’re headed.

Our Barreled Rum is a colonial-style rum with a Tenth Ward twist, pot-distilled from 100% Grade A molasses and finished in used Honeyjack barrels.

The Spiced Rum is distilled from 100% molasses and infused with cinnamon, chicory, clove, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, allspice, and cayenne pepper, then finished with caramel.

Our Single Malt is distilled from 100% malted barley and barrel aged for six years—amazingly smooth, rich, and well-balanced.

The Wheat Whiskey is made with 95% wheat and 5% barley, aged on unused American White Oak, then finished in maple syrup barrels.

Our Hopped Gin is vapor-infused with juniper berry, Simcoe hops, lemon peel, rhubarb, peach, orange peel, orange blossom, ginger, and persimmon.

Rounding things out is our Barreled Gin—our Genever Gin lightly rested in used Honeyjack barrels.

These releases sit within our broader collection of limited releases, and we’re excited to finally open them with the people who helped make them possible.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate ten years, we’re also looking forward. In 2026, we’re excited for some new changes to our downtown location, with plans to improve the membership experience, elevate member events, and create even more ways for our community to connect with Tenth Ward.

And of course, keep an eye out for a giant Tenth Ward party in July, when we officially turn 1! It’s going to be a proper celebration, and we can’t wait to raise a glass with you.
