Tenth Ward Bottle Club Release: Cherry Blossom Gin

Spring has sprung here for us at Tenth Ward! We have braved the dusk of winter and emerged into the bright light of a fresh season. Gardens are beginning to bloom, breezes are warming, and bunnies are bouncing around. What better way to celebrate the longer days than with our newest club member offering?
Cherry Blossom Gin is a dreamy floral take on our beloved botanical packed spirit. This time our team has focused on bringing you all the beautiful fragrant qualities of the Sakura, better known as the Japanese Cherry Blossom. Starting with a cane neutral base we distill with juniper berries, orris root, ginger root, orange peel, chopped cardamom, and fennel seed.
The resulting aromatic potion is then given the Tenth Ward twist. It is infused with natural cherry blossom and orange blossom waters to evoke the feeling of soft pink petals landing on your shoulders. A cherry blossom bouquet in a glass!
How It’s Made
Distilled via infusion with our cane spirit base, all the botanicals are macerated with the spirit as it is distilling. We typically chop or blend the botanicals prior to putting them into our muslin maceration bags to get the most spirit to botanical surface area. We finish the spirit with orange blossom and cherry blossom created straight from the flower. Once we are happy with the balance of the spirit, it is proofed with filtered water down to 80 proof and then labeled and bottled for you beautiful people!
This creation can be enjoyed straight up in a glass or as part of a cocktail, however you like it best. Personally, we may suggest a few different tasting sessions for maximum enjoyment. Tasting Notes:
Nose: Hint of juniper on the nose with a hint of earthy spring.
Taste: An immediate taste of herbaceous blend followed by a complementary citrus note and a delicate floral bouquet finish.

How to Mix It
Tom Collins
1.5 oz Tenth Ward Cherry Blossom Gin
.5 oz Simple Syrup
.75 oz Lemon Juice
Club Soda
Cherry & Lemon Wheel Garnish
Add the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a Collins glass. Fill with ice and top with club soda. Garnish.
Cherry Blossom Gin Cosmo
1.5 oz Tenth Ward Cherry Blossom Gin
.5 oz Cointreau
.75 oz Cranberry Juice
.5 oz Lime Juice
Lemon Twist Garnish
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice, shake, and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish.
Clover Club
1.5 oz Tenth Ward Cherry Blossom Gin
1 Egg White (sub aquafaba for vegan option)
.75 oz Lemon Juice
.25 oz Simple Syrup
Muddled Raspberry
Basil Leaf Garnish
Add gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish.
